Janka hardness is around 2100 for this species, Roupala montana, also called Lacewood. PLEASE NOTE that this blank is sold without guarantee of moisture content. The blank is considered partially too fully dried. Blanks are inspected to ensure there are no obvious defects. Size listed is minimum and the blank may be slightly larger. There are many sources online for "twice turned" procedures and it's important to dry dense woods very slowly while intermittently inspecting in cracks. It's good to have CA glue on hand to stop small checks from become large checks while pieces are drying. I personally put blanks into thick paper bags and roll them up while occasionally recording weights with a gram scale until the blanks stop losing weight. Another method some choose is to fully turn and seal the blank in one session.
