Description: Offered is the Signed only Game Used Summer Camp / Regular Season Batting Practice Hat worn by Tommy Edman in 2020. The distinctive dual bird patch style hat debuted in 2020, with side Bird on Bat patch, rear MLB Logo Man patch (Not to be confused with the similar Spring Training hat, with rear Florida 2020 w/Oranges patch, listed separately) and front STL with Bird behind patch. Worn for all July 2020 Summer Camp games (see pics) and 2020 Regular Season Batting Practices, it is the only one of its kind issued to and/or worn by Tommy Edman in the uniquely COVID reboot of Spring Training in July, widely referred to as Summer Camp, and the regular season’s pregame Batting Practices. This style of hat was worn exclusively in 2020 - 2021, with this the only season in which this style of BP hat was also worn in pre-season (Summer Camp) game play. Getty and AP photos in this listing and in the similar Spring Training hat listing include pics showing the rear patch, the only distinguishing difference between the two hats. One additional unusual aspect of this hat is that it must have had a particularly uncomfortable and scratchy size tag, as it was removed. This was indicated as such in the original auction of the hat by the Cardinals charity Cardinals Care. If desired, the purchaser of this hat will be provided a screen shot of that auction’s indication of the tag’s absence, upon request. Accompanies Edman’s 1st Pro Card from 2016. Hat and autograph come authenticated by MLB, with Hologram code matching the pictured Letter of Authenticity. Codes have been obscured in pictures to protect the security of your purchase.
