Description: Vintage set of 12 dimi self shank mother of pearl shell buttons tinted or dyed a rich green blue teal with lovely MOP luster. Colors vary some as various pieces of shell accepted the coloring a bit differently. These are new old stock (NOS) from a shuttered button factory that closed in the 1940s and they've been in storage ever since. The boxes were dirty and in rough shape, but we've washed the buttons and they're ready to go for your many projects!! Note:- Because these are natural shell buttons there may be small variations in color, shape or size from button to button... just part of the beauty and wonder of mother of pearl. - Buttons have not been measured for competition. Examining a fair sampling, buttons all measured 3/8 inch or very slightly under using a digital caliper, generally diminutive doll button size (9mm to 10mm).
