Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I have to reluctantly part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! The M1 Abrams tank became the US Main Battle Tank back in 1980, but really became famous in the 1991 Gulf War and the 2003 Iraq War. It has a tremendous record for crew safety in combat and has been recently produced in various scales by Tamiya and others. This kit is something special as it comes with a fully detailed interior (engine, gun, fighting compartment, ammo bins, etc.). It also comes with workable track links and torsion bars. Rye Field Model is a relatively new company (but a sibling to Kitty Hawk) that has exploded onto the scene with stunning kits packed with details and features. This release is a “2 in 1” package that allows you to choose to build an M1A1 or an M1A2 Abrams tank with Full Interior! There are plenty of listings for this kit on eBay (many from Asia and Europe), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you very quickly. Here is some of the info I found from around the web about this stunning kit: The Rye Field Models site (ryefield-model.com) has a page with spectacular photos of the box art, a few sprues, a section of fully articulating track and a colorful rendering showing a cutaway tank to see the copious interior detail. There is a link to download the complete 28-page Instruction Set and Painting Guide. They also provide over 20 photos of an expertly finished model to show the awesome potential of this elaborate kit. From other sources, I have found this modest list of outstanding features: · Workable tracks · Workable torsion bars· Highly accuracy of the details· Highly detailed photo-etch parts· The hollow track gear and solid track gear Scalemates.com has a listing that shows this is a 2016 release based on the brand-new tool from that year that has been the basis of over a half-dozen releases. The page provides a link to download the complete 28-page full-color Instruction Set and Painting Guide along with plenty of links to reviews, resources and many galleries of photos of completed Abrams projects. Donald Zhou did a very detailed In-Box Review on the modelingmadness.com site. He starts with a very thorough background of the Abrams before going into depth about the kit features. describes the contents and features of this well-detailed model. He backs this all up with almost 50 high-resolution photos of the sprues and other kit contents. He was most impressed with the interior parts that are so comprehensive and detailed that you really have a museum-quality piece here. His list of Advantages includes: “Extremely detailed, Full Interior with turret basket, Abrams Power Pack and driver station, Some very valuable accessories in the kit.” Sven Schroeder presented a photo-rich In-Box Review on the German-language panzer-modell.de archive site. He gives a brief background of the Abrams tank before diving into the outstanding features of the kit. He shares almost three dozen high-resolution photos of the sprues and other kit contents. He was very impressed with the fine detailing of the interior parts. One of my favorite parts of his review was: “The upper hull and the tower have a very nice anti-slip coating, which does not look exaggerated. The M256 gun is not divided into 2 halves as usual, but is already round on the molded part and is assembled from 5 parts - this results in a nice round gun barrel without disturbing seams, which would have to be filled. The M2 machine gun is also assembled similarly, creating a nice realistic effect.” Chris Cortez posted a helpful Build Review on the finescale.com site. He makes a case for downloading the corrected instructions from the Rye Field Facebook page before giving a summary of the construction steps. He leaves us with ten high-resolution photos of his stunning model. His summary starts with: “Rye Field’s new Abrams is a great kit packed with detail. Don’t let the number of parts deter you; it’s a challenge for experienced modelers, but can be tackled by intermediates as well.” DetailScaleView published a thorough a thorough 13-minute Unboxing Review on YouTube. You get a look at the beautiful box before he pulls out each sprue (individually bagged in most cases). Then you see the PE parts and decals, along with the detailed instruction book. This kit is in a large, sturdy box about 15” x 9.5” x 5.5” with an image of a Power Pack change-out in progress. As you can see from the pictures, the package is in great shape and still sealed with tape strips, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit of the lethal M1A1 or M1A2 Abrams tank with full interior detail made up of hundreds of sand, grey and clear plastic parts, individual working track links with construction jigs, three frets of photo etched metal parts, a set of Cartograf decals and extras, like coolers, clear water bottles and ammo boxes. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays winning bid and for a limited time, this massive item is offered with $14 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
