Came from a German mill originally purchased for gun barrels but 410 has a wide variety of uses. AISI Type 410 is a martensitic stainless steel that provides high strength and hardness with moderate corrosion resistance. A wide range of properties can be developed with different heat treatments, with ultimate tensile strengths ranging from 500 to 1400 MPa.
