1/6 Dragon / Ultimate Soldier WW2, Polish Underground State Resistance

Description: These CUSTOMIZED Dragon and Ultimate Soldier Figures represent resistance fighters who fought for the Polish Underground State against the Nazis during World War Two. The DRAGON Figure wears a German Army Camo Smock, tunic, trousers, and laced boots with gaiters. His German helmet is painted with the RED and White band of the Polish Underground State and he has a Polish Underground State Armband . He comes equipped with a belt, six StG44 ammo pouches, bread bag, mess kit and a canteen. He is armed with a StG44, Sturmgewehr 44 which means "Assault Rifle 44" which he recovered from a dead Nazi soldier. The ULTIMATE SOLDIER Figure wears a brown shirt, sweater, pants, boots with gaiters, gloved hands, and a cap. His long leather overcoat has a fleece collor and a built in holster and ammo clip holders. He has a Polish Underground State Armband and is armed with a German Walther Pistol The Polish Underground State was formed in 1939 after Poland was invaded by Nazi Germany from the West and the Soviet Union from the East. During the War they united several Underground Resistance Groups who were opposing Nazi and Soviet occupation. In 1944 the resistance in Warsaw, Poland ignited a large uprising against the Nazis. They had been raiding Nazi German Army depots for uniforms, weapons, ammunition and equipment. They were also opportunists who stripped the dead, or captured German soldiers. They were aided by British air drops of Sten SMGS and Enfield Rifles. Some of the air drops included arms and ammunition from the USA which included M1 Rifles, Grenades, and 1911 Pistols. Many of the members of the resistance also made Molotov Cocktail Bombs using Polish Vodka Bottles During the 1944 Uprising many of the Polish Fighters wore parts of German Uniforms or simply their civilian clothes. They wore RED and WHITE arm bands or painted their helmets with a Red and White band. They also might paint a symbol of the Resistance Group they fought for such as the Underground State.
