The map is well documented in the cartouche which states that it is by "Rizzi-Zannoni, de l'Academie Royale de Sciences et Belles Lettres de Gottinque [University of Gottingen, Germany]." Dated 1765 on the map. The map was published in the Atlas Historique de la France Ancienne et Moderne (Paris: Desnos, 1766), a copy of the original title page is included for authenticity. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the main pic. Size: The map image area between the neat lines measures approximately 10x11 inches (25x28cm) on a 11 1/2 x15" (29x38cm) page Condition: Very Good to Excellent condition for its age, approximately 10x11 inches (25x28cm) on a 11 1/2 x15" (29x38cm) page, blank on reverse, with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. There are a couple of slight soft bends on the upper corners not affecting the map, otherwise it is very clean with beautiful color on a strong flexible cotton page with the copper plate printing marks embossed in the margins.
