In the Rebellion, Catholics demanded an end to anti-Catholic discrimination, greater Irish self-governance, and return of confiscated Catholic lands.The author goes on to discuss a further thwarted conspiracy that was intended to take place in 1688.With a tipped in leaf prior to the rear that denounces the 'Papists' and 'Infidels', and remarks that 'Old England's Church gloried in the Cross of Christ'. With a tipped in leaf to the verso of the front wrap in which an anti-Catholic sentiment is expressed in Latin.A very scarce and highly informative work. CONDITION In paper wraps.
