Description: This is an early pontiled flint glass ink or unembossed Bears Oil hair pomade bottle that was dug from an 1830s outhouse privy pit....no embossing....hand blown in mold...snapped off solid bar pontil scar on bottom...thin flared lip...clear...square...2 3/8"tall...Excellent condition with only one small shallow flake on underside edge of flared lip; no other damage. A dug bottle with some light haze.
