Description: This little gem of a book measures only 5.25" X 3.5" and is a mere 132 pages. It's author is Rev Daniel Smith who lived from 1806 to 1852 and was a prolific author of books for the youth of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He wrote many biographical works on the important persons of the Bible along with books of instruction about warnings to young men on living a holy life. I've noticed during my research that this "Life of St. Peter" is not included in the official listing of Rev Daniel Smith's works. However, this book is published by T. Mason and G. Lane and Rev. Daniel Smith is listed as one of their preferred authors. The book indicates he is the author of "Parents Friend"; "Life of Moses" and "Daniel". This book was published for the Sunday School Union of the Methodist Episcopal Church at the Conference Office, @00 Mulberry Street. J. Collard, Printer 1840Very Rare!
