Description: Printed carte-de-visite portrait view of Mary Ellen McClellan, by L. Prang & Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1862. The lithograph bust portrait view, entitled Mrs. McClellan, shows an attractive young woman. This is Mary Ellen McClellan (1835-1935) was the wife of Union Major General George B. McClellan, who commanded the Army of the Potomac in 1861 and 1862. Little Mac was popular with the men of the Army of the Potomac. The card is in good or better condition with only very light wear and soiling. There’s a tack hole at bottom right. There are a few spots of foxing on the front and more on the back. A nice L. Prang Civil War lithograph portrait view!
