Description: 1864 US Citizenship Papers Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas of Frederick Ludder native of Germany Luxembourg? I don't know anything about this other than what is on the paper. Says he was born in Germany, but says he was a subject of the Grand Duke of Luxburg. My theory is this is a typo and should be Luxembourg which is a Grand Duchy. There may have been a Luxburg in that mess of German states, but I don't think it was a Grand Duchy. Signed October 4, 1864. 5 Cent Revenue Stamp attached. Framed.
