Description: RARE @ 9 1/4" tall by 6" wide by 1 1/2" thick 480 + paged hardcover Civil War history book dated 1867 titled "The Boys In Blue or Heroes of the Rank and File. Incidents and Reminiscences from Camp, Battlefield, and Hospital, with Narratives of the Sacrifice Suffering and Triumphs of the Soldiers of the Republic" by Mrs. A.H. Hoge of the US Sanitary Commission in Chicago-Book has a pair of great images of the Grand Review of soldiers in Washington DC and an American Flag on the inside title pages and features a detailed history inside (See photos below for clarification)-Really a cool VINTAGE item in used condition with usual wear and cover soiling and the binding has some minor damage but the brilliant metallic gold image of the flag waving soldier is intact-How many of these survived?
