Description: Here's a single sheet of stationery (opened fully, it measures approx. 7 7/8" by 10") that has a letterhead image of President Ulysses Grant with V.P. Schuyler Colfax at the top with a UNION pillar between their engraved images. The stationery is from Grant's political campaign in 1968 and was used/dated in July 28, 1870 when Grant was President. The content, written in ink, concerns the price of alcohol, Bristols Sarsaprilla etc. which the author (William J. Keith) believes can be had at a better price in New York rather than Boston. There are 2 horizontal and 1 vertical fold marks with a blank center; the writing appears on the front and back sections of 1 side of the paper. There are very few stray pencil marks, otherwise, excellent condition. Thanks for looking at this auction.
