Externally generally smart, some rubbing to extremities and cracking to the joints, particularly volumes II, IV and volume VIII, with the front board to volume VIII nearly loose. Internally hinges a touch tender, otherwise bound firmly, pages bright and clean bar offsetting to the title page and the odd spot heavier to endpapers.
