Description: [LANDSCAPE PAINTING, TOM MURRAY BERNARD BLADON] Offered here is an ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS BY T. M. BERNARD BLADON. The painting measures 10 in x 16 in. within a wood & gesso frame measuring 15 x 21.5. The painting is in excellent original condition and no visible or known restoration. The frame has a couple of gesso losses, but is in otherwise very good original condition. The work is signed and dated '1895' at the lower right. The calm, peaceful serene landscape of a fisherman alone on the bank of a mountain lake is suitable for just about any decor. ___________________Tom Murray Bernard Bladon (1864 - 1939) Painter and etcher of portraits, seascapes and landscapes who was born in Birmingham and who exhibited in that city for over fifty years. Bladon studied at Birmingham School of Art and was later to teach there, and was elected RBSA in 1921, continuing to show until the late 1930's. He also showed at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
