Description: "The Silverado Squatters" is a travel memoir by Robert Louis Stevenson of his two-month honeymoon trip with Fanny Vandegrift (and her son Lloyd Osbourne) to Napa Valley, California, in 1880. Offered here is the book published in 1895 by Roberts Brothers, Boston. Printed by John Wilson and Son, Cambridge. This little book is very readable, with no marks (except for the original owner's name handwritten inside the front cover). Flaws include a few small stains; and the tissue paper between the frontispiece and the title page has seen better days (see photo). The cover itself is in poor condition, with substantial wear, and the top layer of the spine is gone. But the cover holds the book together well and has done a good job at protecting the interior of the book. Please zoom in on all the photos before deciding to purchase this book.
