Description: 1921-D 90% Silver Mercury Dime Choice F Detail Semi Key Date 2nd Lowest Mintage of The Series! This listing is for a Key Date 1921-D Mercury or Winged Liberty Dime. This coin has F to Choice F detail as there is an old toned over staple scratch which begins between the L and I in LIBERTY and runs horizontally through the portrait. Coin has been lightly wiped or lightly cleaned, but still retains an excellent natural, look with very appealing natural pewter silver color. The 1921-D is a Key Date in ALL grades, but finding one with 2 full rioms and detail anywhere above G Good is even scarcer. And finding one with Fine to VF detail is extremely scarce. The 1921-D has the 2nd lowest mintage of the series with ionly the King of Mercury Dimes, the 1916-D having fewer struck. The original mintage is just obver 1 million coins struck, but the survival rate is probably 10% of the original mintage. This listing is just for the 1921-D Mercury Dime - 1 coin.Greysheet Bid/Ask for the 1921-D in the bottom F Fine grade is $150/$195. Greysheet Bid/Ask in the Choice F grade is $190/$245.This coin was extracted from a recently purchased album collection which included a Blue Whitman album of Mercury Dimes missing only the 1916-D. Once again, This listing is just for the 1921-D Mercury Dime - 1 coin. The other pictures at the end are just to show the album from which this coin was pulled.See our other listtings which include a 1918 in XF, a 1919 in AU, a 1921 in VG, and a trio of 1931 coins, P, D, S in VF to XF!If you have any questions, please let me know.
