Description: c. 1922 Large studio photograph of one of the first true matinee idols in Hollywood history, Wallace Reid. He would become one of the first casualties of the emerging drug culture in Hollywood, even attempting an early form of rehab in a sanitarium. One of the only images of Reid we have ever seen and this is a large studio image that presents well with a crease and stain on the lower left corner as well as some pinholes from editorial use.
