Description: 1929 Zeenut (PCL) -FRED HOFMANN (Portland Beavers) -Yankees (Autograph?). Fred passed away in 1963 which would make his autograph valuable but I do not believe this is authentic as his name is spelled as it appears on the card... which is an error. His name was actually "HOFMANN" so am selling it as NOT AN AUTOGRAPH and simply speculating that the original collector wrote the name of the player on the back, although the way "Fred" is written looks very much like how Fred Hofmann signed his name. The Zeenut series was produced every year by the Collins Candy Co from 1911 to 1938, each set contained somewhere between 48 to nearly 200 cards and includes many players that were both future or former Major League players. The 1929 set is a fun sets to collect and among the "Black & White" Zeenut issues from the 1920's. Please see scans for condition.
