Illustrations: 17 colour plates and numerous b/w text illustrations by John Leech. Description: A handsome copy of this 1930 edition. Bound by Bumpus in half red crushed morocco and marbled paper-covered boards, spine with five raised bands, and with gilt lettering to second compartment. Top edge gilt. Externally sound and firm, lightly bumped to corners, spine slightly sunned. Marbled endpapers, partly split at hinges (though still firm), with binder's gilt-stamped signature to lower turn-in. Text-block remains sound though a little uneven to fore-edge. Pages with just a hint of age-toning, scattered light spotting (mainly to edges), else clean and tidy throughout.
