Description: Fantastic 1957 Plymouth Belvedere. I had one of these beauties about 15 years ago and loved it. I was always sad that I sold it, so about 4 years ago I started looking again. This past April, the right one showed up. An original Texas car, almost completely rust free. It was purchased from the original owners family in 1990. The original owner had died in 1983 and the car had sat unused. The car had 53,000 original miles. It was then held in a Dallas collection until 2005 when it changed hands to another Texan. This was also part of a large collection of 1950s Mopars and was driven very little. The engine compartment was restored, the top end of the motor was rebuilt, the transmission was rebuilt, brakes redone, new fuel tank as well as some other cosmetic items. But the 1980s repaint and original interior were left alone. Again it sat indoors and was cared for. Now the vehicle has just 58,431 miles on it. It has only been driven 5,000 miles in the last 40 years!! Car has manual steering and manual brakes. Sport Tone Trim. I put 1958 hubcaps on but I have the 1957s. Original jack, perfect whitewall spare. I had the car shipped up to New Hampshire and have put about 1,000 miles on it. It is a great car, starts right up, has a nice ride. A real head turner. The only problem is ... I just don't have the time anymore to drive it like I did 15 years ago. As a matter of fact I have not driven it for the last 3 weeks. So as much as I love the car, I can't justify it if I am only going to drive it 10-20 times per year. Car runs, drives and looks great. Super clean undercarriage. The only rust in the car was in the trunk floor from leaky weatherstrip. It was fiber glassed over in the 1990s and is perfectly stable. Paint like I said is driver quality, over a fantastic body. Chrome and trim are great. Radio does not work. Gas gauge works when it feels like it. Car runs smooth and cool even in hot weather. Tires are in excellent condition, exhaust is excellent, vent works. Wipers work, put there is a hesitation with them, so that may need attention. The transmission needs a filter change as occasionally it won't shift out of first gear. Just shutting the engine off for a minute and restarting usually fixes that so I assume it is a filter. Have various receipts for work going back to the1980s. If you are looking for a top notch 1957. This is it. My plan was to repaint it next year in colors of my choosing, but I am going this route.Anyway come see it if you like You will not be disappointed. I bought this car within 8 hours of it being listed and there were already a bunch of back up buyers so don't miss it. No trades. Payment must clear before pick up. Questions, call 978-855-2179.Car has been relisted due to a buyer who jumped the gun a little bit. You need to inspect the car BEFORE you pull the trigger NOT AFTERWARD!! Come out and see it and drive it, or pay someone to do a proper inspection with photos. Ask all the questions you want BEFORE you buy the car. When you decide to buy it please realize that funds will have to be paid via cash, wire transfer or bank check, BEFORE the car is picked up. If you have questions please ask!! A short you tube tour is shown below. I accidentally stated it was a 1958 in the video!! Oops. Yes it is still a 1957. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAY9IZTXs8Y see video
