Description: 1961 Fleer Basketball Wax Pack Oscar Robertson Top PSA 7 NM Featuring #36 Oscar Robertson rookie card on top, this pack of 1961 Fleer basketball is one of the finest examples encased in a PSA slab. Free of poke holes and stains and rich with bold color, crisp folds, and a perfect seal, the pack has been awarded a Near Mint 7 in the modern, PSA pack-grading era and stands head and shoulders above its equivalent and higher-grade counterparts. The 3rd best 1961 Fleer Basketball PSA graded pack in existence. (There are no PSA graded packs with Jerry West on the top or back. There are two packs with a Wilt base card on back with grades of PSA 6 & 7, respectively.)1 of only 66 PSA authenticated and graded 1961 Fleer Basketball packs. (Many believe the population to be significantly less than 66 due to pack-opening and box-filling.) Twenty-five years before its acclaimed 1986 basketball set with the iconic Michael Jordan Rookie card, Fleer produced its inaugural1961-62 Basketball series. The set is jam-packed with Hall of Famers and NBA legends. Of the 66 cards in the set, 45 contain players in the Hall of Fame and 19 are Rookie Cards. Should you be so bold as to open this rare treasure, it's difficult to overstate its potential. Only 103 cards of over 30,000 in the PSA registry have attained GEM MT 10 status. As difficult as it can be to find cards from the 1961 Fleer Basketball set in high grade, it is truly rare to find such a gorgeous unopened pack. At the time of this posting, PSA's Population Report showed a total of only 66 PSA Graded Packs.
