The #93 works 286SP driven by the Rodriguez brothers (Pedro and Ricardo) retired from the race after a spin, while the #54 GTO driven by Scarlatti and Ferrara also crashed and did not finish. In this image, the #111 Porsche 718GTR (Gurney/Bonnier) leads the #110 718WRS (G. Hill/Herrmann), which placed third. The #10 Lotus Elite was piloted by David Hobbs, Richard Attwood, and John Rhodes. Further back in the pack, the #49 GTO (Maglioli/Koechert) edges past the #80 WRE-Maserati (Zampiero/Lo Coco).
