Description: Extremely rare 1964 New Mexico map mounted on Canvas. If this had not been mounted I dont believe it would have survived 60 years. Possibly a "roll up" map, which would account for some of the wear on the bottom edge below the actual map image. Markings/writing on map: 1. "Published by Marvin H. Hill, Albuquerque, NM" (on right bottom corner) - I can find NO information about this person, or family.2. Number in pencil right bottom corner "1313" - no idea what this means3. "Base map colors depict the natural colors of the land and its dominant types of vegetation as they appear during the season of growth. "4. "Map No. JNC130 New Mexico"5. "Scale: one inch equals 10 miles"6. "Mounted by Denoyer-Geppert Company, Chicago, Illinois". NOTE this company no longer makes maps, that was in their early years. Company began in 1916.
