Rays of sunlight interact with clouds, with the roofs and tops of hills as well as the tops of wispy trees in the foreground. The color palette is both Stunning and Soothing. Masterfully composed!1 1/4" Wide Flat, Medium Dark Brown, finely wood-grained moulding with double mat (Acid Free) and glass are included in this listing. Image opening measures 14 X 18 and is in Very Good to Excellent condition.Outside measure of the frame is 18 1/4 X 22 and is in Very Good condition.Please carefully examine all images for condition.Shipping charge includes delivery insurance.Apologies for glare or reflection in images due to photographing under glass. *Martin Gambee (1905-1969), was a an illustrator, painter, lithographer, craftsperson, designer, lecturer and teacher, and his specialty was southwestern genre, especially Navajo Indians with whom he spent three summers on their reservation. In the 1930's, he lived in Pawling New York and was an illustrator member of the Artists Guild. In 1939, the Artist Guild's annual exhibition had two of his western paintings. He studied with Howard Giles, Gustave Cimiotti, James Pinto, Eliot O'Hara, and with Andre Lhote in Paris and at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In 1947, he was listed as living and working in Carmel California. He was a teacher at the Institute Allende in San Miquel, Mexico from 1962 until 1969.
