He led his league three times each in pinch hits and pinch at-bats. He hit .323 in 1978 to lead AL DHs in batting, and he hit .300 five times overall, but never had more than 242 at-bats in a season. A catcher in the minors, he led four leagues in errors and didn't make the majors until his tenth pro season. Here’s a great looking example of the 1977 card here.
