Description: DescriptionItem: This is a complete season ticket from 1981 Northwestern University Football. These Tickets were from the Wildcats famous losing streak of 34 straight games. These were historical games with many records and personal best occuring in each game. This was Dennis Green's first games ever as head coach. Each of these games were played at Dyche Stadium. The tickets are still attached in their original sheet. These are real tickets with seat or box numbers print on them. They are all original tickets. There were 6 games in all. Each ticket feature an all time great Northwestern Football player. Even though the Wildcats were bad, they did play in the Big Ten and many great players played in these games. Below is a description of each game. Game Highlights*Northwestern vs Indiana, Saturday September 12, 1981 - Hoosiers win 21-20. The Wildcats came close to winning this one. They only needed a dropped pass on a 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter. The loss was the 21th straight for the Wildcats. This was the first game for Dennis Green as head coach! He later went on to coach the Vikings. The ticket features "Moon" Baker on the front. He was an All-American player for Northwestern in 1926. *Northwestern vs Utah, Saturday September 26, 1981 - Utes win 42-0. Del Rogers scored 4 TDs with 140 yards. The loss was the 23th straight for the Wildcats. The ticket features "Pug" Rentner on the front. He was an All-American player for Northwestern in 1931. *Northwestern vs Iowa, Saturday October 4, 1981 - Hawkeyes rout Northwestern 64-0. Eddie Phillips rushed for 2 TDs and Gordy Bohannon threw for 2 TDs. The loss was the 24th straight for the Wildcats. The ticket features Otto Graham on the front. He was an All-American player for Northwestern in 1943 in both football and basketball and a member of the Hall of Fame. *Northwestern vs Purdue, Saturday October 17, 1981 - Purdue wins 35-0. Jimmy Smith scored 2 TDs and had 100 yards. The loss was the 26th straight for the Wildcats. The ticket features Alex Sarkisian on the front. He was an All-American player for Northwestern in 1948. *Northwestern vs Michigan State, Saturday November 7, 1981 - Spartans win 61-14. This was the record breaking game. He was an All-American player for Northwestern in 1959 *Northwestern vs Illinois, Saturday November 21, 1981 - Illinois wins 49-12. In this game both teams threw the ball 110 times, a Big Ten Record. Tony Eason threw 3 TD passes giving him 20 for the season, another Big Ten Record. He also set Big Ten records with 211 completions for the season and 3,360 yards for the season.
