They even came with anti-counterfeiting features: microprinting, tough-to-scan reflected ink, serial numbers, bits of glitter scattered about, and the authorization of Treasurer Scrooge McDuck. The corrected bills now read “MAY BE USED AS LEGAL TENDER ONLY AT DISNEYLAND AND WALT DISNEY WORLD” This first printing consisted of only 870,000 $1 bills and 176,000 $5 bills. They were printed by DPI Printers in Battlecreek, Michigan, United States and Engraved by the U.S. Banknote Corporation. The second series the (1987A), released at both parks, stated on the bill "May be used as legal tender only at Disneyland and Walt Disney World".
