Description: This is a fairly rare K2 special edition "Scorcher" ski. It is a K2 Four beneath the cartoonish topsheet, complete with the "brain" - a vibration damping piezo-electric thing that LIGHTS UP when the ski vibrates. Seriously, there's a little red led on each ski which blinks if you tap the ski. I do remember skiing the Four back then - early 90s, I think - and I was disappointed that you can't actually see the light while skiing, but it does in fact light up. This pair has been drilled once, for a Marker M54 binding that accommodates a size 19 boot. I think it is about a 335 boot sole length. Big. They could easily be remounted for a smaller boot, but no shop will touch these bindings - they probably work fine, but they're no longer indemnified, meaning Marker won't stand behind a trained technician and the shop in the event of an injury which may or may not have been caused by the binding. AKA, you're on your own, but I've found that some shops can be convinced to loan mounting jigs out to people who bring beer in once in a while. They're 198cm, the biggest they made. They were a fun ski, revolutionary in shape and whatnot. This pair is in excellent shape, nearly perfect. I tuned and waxed them, just because. I did not scrape them after waxing to preserve the bases, which are immaculate - no repaired scratches or core shots, these skis do not have many days on them at all. I don't know who will buy these; super serious collector, or nostalgic "old" ski enthusiast? Either way, they're ready to go carve if you are!
