Description: For your consideration is a Wilmington Blue Rocks game worn jersey. Based on the tagging style, this Wilson jersey dates to the original batch of shirts ordered for the inaugural season in 1993. At least a couple of different patches have been added to and removed from the left sleeve, including a distinct "2000" patch that was worn during the 2000 season. The team ordered more jerseys of this same style as the 1990s rolled along, but they featured updated Wilson tagging that was a bit different from this early batch. The jersey exhibits moderate to heavy game use, largely consisting of light pine tar stains found at least five or so places on the shirt. Traces of at least one nameplate being removed can be seen on the back. Tagged as a Size 42, the shirt measures approx. 22-1/2 inches across from pit to pit, then tapers to approx. 20 inches across along the stomach area. The length is approx. 30 inches from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the tail. The original price tag from the Quarry Team Store is still affixed in the neckline. This classic jersey style is getting harder to find, and would be a great addition to any Minor League or Royals collection.
