Description: MTS ANTIQUE JEWELLERY BOXES WONDERFUL LARGE 19C ROSEWOOD DATED 1864 INLAID ANTIQUE JEWELLERY BOX - FAB INTERIOR For sale is a WONDERFUL LARGE 19c figured rosewood inlaid antique restored and repolished jewellery box. Dates approximately 1840/1880. FULLY LOCKS. In WONDERFUL restored condition. One tiny veneer repair at the bottom rear left hand edge which blends well. Otherwise a fantastic Victorian box in great restored condition. Inlaid with the original mother of pearl central cartouche and keyhole escucheon. The box is dated for December 30th 1864 Coming very difficult to obtain these boxes in this sort of condition.It is a really terrific box!! I’M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Box retains the original lock, hinges and top catch. Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box. Instruction given once sold. ONLY GET THIS TYPE OF QUALITY FROM US. Comprising a wonderful interior that boasts a later wooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments. This has been relined in expensive velvet material of the highest quality, the same as the interior of the box. All the added dividers within the tray can easily be repositioned or removed if desired. The tray can hold a few rings in an upright position. Underneath the additional tray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces. A superb box, and would make a fantastic gift.
