Description: (Two) 2023 United Kingdom 1 ounce .999 Silver Britannia Bullion Coins, (one coin each for QEII and her son KCIII). The QEII Coin is the last Britannia that will be issued with the Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II (R.I.P.). -A very Limited Production run, mintage unknown but rumored to be approximately 100,000 or less. The 2023 Britannias with QEII, started production very late in the month of August 2022, QEII died 8th of September 2022 and production was halted. The Royal Mint decided that, rather than melt the 2023 QEII Britannias they would sell the coins that existed. The KCIII Coin is the first Britannia issued with the "Crowned" effigy of King Charles III. Mintage limited to 200,000 coins world wide. ( I believe that the mintage is exceptionally low for a coin that recognizes the crowning of a new King). Both coins were issued in "Bullion" quality and I have "hand selected" nice examples. All Photographs were taken under natural lighting, some were taken at an angle to enhance the background engravings. Some shots have a "pinkish" tinge, merely reflections from the environment, the coins are a brilliant, proof-like white. Note: I find it unusual that the KCIII coin is dated 2023 on both sides.
