Description: Used fire hose for boat docks, chain saw scabbards, hull protection, boat trailer replacement bunk covering, trailer guides, chaffing protection, ratchet strap protection, livestock fencing protection, door hinges etc. Even dog chew toys... We also haul a lot of material and used it between the loaded material and our ratchet strapping. It is great chaffing protection for the strapping and offers great material protection. On the farm I wrap it around my stall post to keep the livestock from tearing it up. I use a variety of sizes pending the post size. This might be a little overkill, but it works. It also keeps my girls from getting splinters. My boys use this hose for their race cars to slide their fuel and transmissions line through. We also used this hose at our church for threat protection by sliding the hose over the top door hinges. This prevents the door from being opened in the event of an unwanted threat. Cutting the hose to the length of the hinge works the best for us. Measure the width of the hinge for the most appropriate width of hose. This is a good quality medium to heavier duty hose with internal stitching for reinforcement. This hose was not used for any other purpose but fire department use. This is used fire hose which was decommissioned and removed from service. This hose may contain nicks and scrapes, markings, stains or writings from the previous fire department owners. This auction is for red hose and made of a rubber-based material. Being rubber-based compound, rain or water does not affect it. This particular hose is 2 3/4" wide lying flat. A sharp razor or utility knife can cut this hose length wise to give you almost 5 1/2" in width. Interior measurement is approximately 1 1/2" round. Cutting both sides will give you 40' x 2 3/4". If you need a length other than 20 feet, I can also do that. All orders are cut to length when ordered. (If ordering more than one section, I will send it in one continuous length unless requested.
