Description: The Gibson ES-150 CC reissue was only made in very limited numbers, and examples do not come up for sale very often, so we are excited to have this one in the shop. This example is in excellent condition with light finish checking. There is also a small dent in the corner of the edge of the headstock face as well as another small dent in the back of the neck near the headstock, as shown in the photos. One interesting thing to note is that on the COA "ES-155" was mistakenly written as the model. The playability is superb and the modern C-shaped neck is one that most will find as an improvement over the V-shaped neck of the 1930s originals. The action is low and fast with all notes ringing out clearly. The frets show no more than minimal wear. The reproduction CC pickup sounds great and can be dialed in to get a pretty convincing vintage CC tone. Being made with a carved spruce top certainly helps as well. The back is made of a very nice arched mahogany. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fretboard. The bridge is true to vintage in being non-compensated in appearance, but with a slight compensation for the B string carved into it. Weight - 6.1 pounds Nut width - 1.74 inches 1st fret depth - 0.83 inches 10th fret depth - 1.0 inches Scale length - 24.75 inches The guitar comes with the original hard shell case, certificate of authenticity, and some additional paperwork.
