Photos 1 and 2 show the front cover and a description of the front cover and an explanation of the red graph on the front cover, this is an actual duplication of the tide gauge located on Citzens Dock in the Crescent City Harbor, The first time indicated is 12;42 am when the tide was falling. the tide reached its ebb and was on the upward climb when the first of four waves started at 11:93 pm. The First Wave exceeded the limits of the gauge, causing the flat line at the top of the graph. On the third wave, the water level again exceeded the limits and during the fourth wave, which inundated the shed the gauge was located and the paper was torn. The horizontal line in the middle of the page is the mean average of High and Low tides. Photos 3 and 4 show the back cover and binding. Photo # 5 shows the publishing information. This edition was published in 2008. Photo # 6 shows the Title Page. Photos 7, 8, 9 and 10 show photos at the time of the disaster in 1964 and photos 20 years later at the same locations. Photo # 11 shows a map of the Crescent City Tsunami: On March 28th 1964 an earthquake strikes the northern shore of Price William Sound, Alaska. The earthquake initially measured 8.5 on the Pasadena scale o earthquake magnitude, the most severe ever recorded in North America. The Honolulu Observatory issues first advisory via FAA and Defense Communications network at 4: 52 in the morning. At 6:30 AM Kodiak tide observer confirms existence of seismic sea waves. At 7:00 AM the Tsunami reaches Tofino, British Columbia. Tofino is located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. At 7:39 AM the first wave arrives at Crescent City. At 7:50 four people drown in Depoe Bay, Oregon. At 9:20 AM the 4th wave hits Crescent City and destroys or displaces more than 300 buildings, 27 blocks, 5 bulk gasoline storage units, The Tsunami eventually went all the way to Peru, South America.
