Description: 3 Hotta Yu Shoten Japanese Majolica Canister Set Textured Weeping Cherry Tree Hand-painted kitchenware from Hotta Yu Shoten & Company, made in Japan 1920's to 1940's. Textured pattern with floral decoration which I believe to be a Cherry tree design. All are stamped with the company logo which depicts a cherry blossom with "H" inside it. This listing features a set of 3 Canisters which have a nameplate spot but no names on them.. They all have a coordinating lid! A total of 6 pieces. The Color is a creamy pale yellowish cream with accents of black, Brown stems and Pinkish flowers and Green leaves. The hand painted details appear to be in very good condition. All Canisters and pitchers are marked. This is a truly remarkable find in this condition and presents well. Very good Antique condition - one cannister has a Lid corner crack and or repair and one has small crack line on top inside rim. small nick found on rim of one. All have crazing. See photos where I will try to show any wear. Very slight difference in size, all are approximately 6.75" tall x 4.5" square. Interesting set.
