Description: Nice vintage lot of 3 school slate chalkboards from the National School Slate Company in Slatington, Pennsylvania. They have brown wood borders and 1 has burgandy red felt fabric on the edges . They are stamped 'Extra Special' and 'First Quality' on the top and bottom of one side of each slate. The hinged one measures 9" high and 7" wide and are less than ⅓" thick. Other 2 measure 12.5"x8.5" Nice condition considering age. the slates show wear and use and have a few marks on them. Please note one has a fracture line in one corner which is stable and not moving. Would make great display/Use
