Description: Penn Antique Restoration Penn Antique Restoration ~ 2 Available ~ 34"x83"x1.75" Antique Exterior Doors Single Window w/ Glass * Although there are 2 available, the list price is for 1 door only. The first 4 photos show Door#1 and the next 4 show Door#2. If you're only planning on buying 1 door, please message us and let us know which one you'd like. Handsome, antique, exterior doors salvaged from an old, 1889 home in Northeastern, PA (see last photo). The doors are made of solid Douglas fir or pine and are painted on both sides. Door#1 (the white one) was a vestibule door and Door#2 (the brown one) was a side door. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The doors have a single, full-length window with thick, old, plate glass.Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out the "Hardware" section of our store).* If you would like the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote.Uneven Height: Door#1 was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut either door to an even height/width, build it/them up to be taller/wider, or even cut them to be narrower/shorter--message us for a quote.Condition: Considering the doors are well over 100 years old, they are strong, sturdy and in great condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".All of the glass is also intact and in great shape with only subtle scratchesSwing: Door#1 is set up to swing into a home towards the left, or away from the home towards the right. The hinge mortises of Door#2 span the thickness, allowing you define it's swing and install hinges on either side. We could modify the Swing of Door#1--message us for a quote.Modification: We could also modify either doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame(s), trim or add to the height(s) or width(s), replace glass, reverse swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.Dimensions:(Both doors measure 1 3/4" thick)Door#1:33 5/8" x 82" - 82 1/4" Door#2:33 3/4" x 82 7/8"Glass:23 7/8" W x 60" HToo tall, short, wide or narrow?
