CASE: This fantastic and stunning solid 9 carat gold two piece good gold quality screw back round watch case is in absolutely excellent condition. IT IS A QUALITY WATCH CASE WITH A GOOD THICKNESS OF GOLD. The case back has a presentation inscription. The case back only shows some light normal wear and is in beautiful condition. There are one or two nicks and marks here and there when viewed under 10X magnification. The inside of the case is FULLY hallmarked for solid 9 carat gold and dates this fabulous GARRARD watch to 1973. The case maker is David Shackman & Sons who were also the official case makers for Rolex at this time in the UK. The case measures 3.4cms or 34mm in diameter excluding the crown. DIAL: This absolutely beautiful and MINTY GARRARD signed dial is original. It only shows a little dust and is in absolutely EXCELLENT minty condition. The dial has good applied baton gold numerals with quarter Arabic numerals. The gold minute, hour and centre sec sweep hands are in good condition. The date window is bright white and shows no aging. The dial is beautifully signed with the wording 'GARRARD automatic' and 'SWISS MOVEMENT'. The wording is crisp and clear. MOVEMENT: This beautiful watch is powered by a beautiful 21 jewel SIGNED GARRARD MSR (ETA 2873) automatic wind movement with hacking seconds. The movement is in near MINT condition. It is stamped '21 jewels' and 'Swiss Made' on the rotor. The movement winds and sets beautifully as it should with the crown pulling out twice for hands and date alteration. It keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period. This beautiful quality movement has just been FULLY SERVICED by my watch makerand is running beautifully. The golden crown is unsigned and is in excellent condition. BAND: This is a brand new genuine 16MM QUALITY black leather band. I have just had it fitted, and it is in new condition and has not been worn. The watch and band measure 9 inches in total length. BOX: This is a wonderful original authentic ‘Garrard of London’ blue leather and gilded tooled box. It shows only light wear to its outside and some light staining to the chiffon lid interior.
