Description: A rare opportunity to buy a mint condition pocket watch in 9ct gold hallmarked for 1904.The condition is unmarked and as sharp and crisp as the day it left the manufacturer. The movement is anonymous which was common before the First World War but it is almost certainly by Record who made top quality movements. It is jewelled to the centre with screwed gold chatons and the workmanship is superb both without and within. It has a Breguet overcoil & compensated bimetal balance with four adjustments (for temperature, isochronism and position). It runs superbly in all positions. The gold case is probably by Dennison as it has an early example of their patent securely hinged bow.The winding crown is sharp and mirror polished with absolutely no wear. The bow is tight. I don't see any evidence that this watch has ever been worn.It came in this box which is a retailers case and may be original to the watch.Diameter 49mmWeight 84.4 grams. Please note this watch has not been buffed. It is simply in stunning condition.
