Description: For your consideration is a very interesting copy of Faulkner's "Absalom, Absalom!". I would not consider this a true first edition, though technically with only the single 1936 copyright one could argue it is. This is generally the second mass production of the book, typically with a copyright of 1936 and 1951. Rare to see it without the later years. We can surmise it was printed sometime between 1936 and 1951, likely much closer to 1951 with a $2.45 price on the dustjacket. Condition is fair with the primary detriment being notations written in the first ~20 or so pages and then very sporatically thereafter. Otherwise the book is in fantastic condition with bright pages and a binding that's almost as good as new. The dustjacket is in solid condition for the age as shown. The boards and spine below the dustjacket are very clean as shown. A solid example of a rare early edition of these later prints.
