Description: ALLSTATE-MARX 9625 ELECTRIC TRAIN SET, 1961, RARE, SERVICED, OB Up for consideration is a Sears-Allstate electric train set, 9625 that is rare/semi-rare. Not sure if the set is complete because could not find any comparable sets on the Internet. The set includes the following: Marx 666, locomotive 2-4-2 & tender Cities Service tank car Santa Fe Boxcar Erie flat car Southern pacific caboose 100-watt Sears-Roebuck/Marx transformer 14 pieces of curved track 13 pieces of straight track Graduated trestle bridge Two track loc-on 48 track clips The box is marked as a Christmas gift. 1961, so we assume that is the only year Sears-Roebuck offered this set. The locomotive was recently serviced and runs well. We realize that the original set did not come with the extra track pieces or the trestle bridge but that was the items in the box when purchased at an estate sale so that is the way we are selling it. The output of the transformer was tested, and it works as it should. The trestle bridge is missing one #10 piece (one of the short pieces) so should not be a problem with assembly.
