Description: Brand new American Z Lines GP30 Z-scale loco. Never used or opened. The pictures showing the loco in the storage case is the actual one for sale, road number 5011. I took pictures of another one I run to show what it looks like out of the case and with the shell removed. These engines do have dual flywheels.The motors in these take up to 12V, unlike other Z-scale trains that use 10V. They work great with an n-scale power pack. For anyone using Micro-Trains rolling stock, the couplings are similar and will latch up. I'm successfully mixing AZL and Micro-Trains rolling stock. These particular locos are very easy to take apart and work on if you ever need to do maintenance. They are press-fit together, so just hold the fuel tank at the sides, then pull the shell straight up. When new, these tend to come out of the case a bit oily, but they clean up quick and easy with a dry cloth. On a rare occasion, you may also need to re-seat the power board if the loco took any hard impacts during shipping. This is very easy to do.
