Description: This is a well preserved example of early cast iron cookware. This skillet is light weight hand poured cast iron. It is gatemarked with a W makers mark and raised 8 on the handle. The inside is smooth as glass and it sits dead flat on a piece of granite. I compare this to the Sidney holloware skillet I have listed that is from the late 1800s. Exact same handle design and very similar weight and smooth casting. Buy with confidence my packing is bomb proof.
