Made of hand cut, stiffened leather with an ankle strap and button design, they have carved wooden soles - uppers have been mounted to the soles with tiny hammered brass tacks - these appear to be hand made as well. Condition is lovely with no cracks, holes, repairs or damage - both original buttons are still attached - there is no separation or damage at the sole. I think these are so charming and unusual - probably European in origin - I've heard them referred to as peasant shoes - they are small and sweet - a wonderful addition to any collection or display!
