Description: I love this doll! I am 74, and I still love pretty dolls. Well, at 74, it's really time to let them go, huh? I tried to give them away to grandaughters, and even great grandaughters, and no takers. So I am selling all my collection. This one is a German doll, made by Armand Marseille. It has a mold number of 370, along with M.5/0 BEP. She is such beautiful girl, with a slightly opened mouth, and beautiful blue glass eyes. Her body is excellent. Made from leather, it's clean and bright, and the joints are nice and tight. Her porcelain hands are excellent. She is about 15" tall, and her dress is just fabulous. She has her slip under her dress, which is satin and lace. Her little shoes are crocheted. Armand Marseille put beautiful porcelain heads on cloth and leather dolls, as they could make them more cheaply, and when dressed, no one saw the bodies anyway. Her dress is excellent. There are no rips, tears or missing lace or pieces; just a small bit of soil. The little button loops are crocheted satin thread. Her little belt is part of the dress, and the buckle is made to look like marcasite, but is actually, I think, rhinestone. All the stones are there. Her hair is replacement, but the blonde curls really look great. The only flaw I saw was the chip to the paint on one eye, when it's closed. I thought about trying to repair it, but I decided that would reduce her value. I left her alone. She is a really pretty doll, that won't disappoint. (Of course, I have a 100% return policy, so if for some reason you don't like her, just send her back).
