Description: Description Charming antique late 19th century Swiss Black Forest double inkwell, ink stand. Featuring the head of a fox expertly hand carved and finished with glass eyes. The hinged head opens to reveal a hidden compartment for stamps or writing accessories. Flanked by two thick cut glass inkwells with carved wood lids resembling leaf clusters. Further decorated with naturalistically carved leaves serving as a pen tray. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, there are chips to the rims of the glass inkwells and chips to the wooden inkwell lids visible in the pictures.
