Description: This antique French Palais Royal Etui is one of the finest piece. Made of the two half of mother of pearl shells combined with gilt metal. The two halves open with a spring mechanism (push down from the top) and contains sewing equipment and a tiny perfume bottle (which might be a crystal). The small bottle has an opening top (still working). The item stands on an alabaster base. This 19th century etui still has all pieces and works fine. It is just a fantastic ornate object.
