Antique German 22” 151 Hertel & Schwab Character Doll Bisque On Composition Body

Description: Big 22” Hertel & Schwab 151 / 12 toddler UFDC ribbon winner. Her bisque head is perfect with wonderful modeling and color. The head has a solid dome with delicate blonde molded and brush stroked hair. The blue gray glass eyes with lashes sleep and she has an open mouth with 4 molded in the bisque upper teeth. She has tiny dimples on cheeks and one on chin. Perfectly painted mouth showing two teeth and tongue. Gorgeous blue eyes with painted eyelashes around the eyes. Painted on hair. Marked on back of neck 151 and 12. Her head has a couple of nicks on the forehead. The composition toddler body has cracks on the left breast, both knees, left palm, left shoulder repair, back of right arm, and joints. When we purchased her there were some minor chips to the compo finish around the hip area and more noticeable cracks to the finish on the back of the right arm. Both hands have all the fingers with red outlines to the finger beds. Her clothing fits her perfectly, a blue wool baby coat with matching bonnet. When we purchased her there were a few moth holes in the material of the wool jacket. Under her coat she is wearing a white organdy baby dress that has floral hand embroidery on the neckline and repeating on the hemline in excellent condition. She is also wearing a slip (ripped seam and stains), a onesie (threadbare) and a pair of leather baby booties that show wear. She was owned by a doll collector and was displayed in a cabinet behind glass in an airconditioned room in a smoke free home.
